Mr. Settles is a partner in the Litigation Department and Medical Malpractice Group of Lamson, Dugan and Murray. He has 20 years of experience defending physicians, hospitals, and other health care providers in medical malpractice claims and administrative proceedings. As the son of a physician and a nurse, Mr. Settles’ background and interest in medicine have given him insight into the unique issues facing health care providers.
Ms. Destache is a partner in the Litigation Department and Medical Malpractice Group of Lamson, Dugan and Murray. Ms. Destache has advised health care providers on a variety of health care law related issues, including HIPAA, EMTALA, Peer Review and Quality Assurance activities, and many aspects of health care risk management. Before graduating cum laude from Creighton Law School, Ms. Destache practiced for nearly 15 years as a hospital nurse and nurse educator.
Mr. Walker is a partner in the Litigation Department and Medical Malpractice Group of Lamson, Dugan and Murray. Mr. Walker graduated from Creighton Law School magna cum laude and was a member of the Creighton Law Review, the International Moot Court Board, and Law Ambassadors. With two sisters and a brother-in-law who are physicians, Mr. Walker shares Lamson, Dugan and Murray’s dedication to the medical profession.
Ms. Macdissi is an associate in the Litigation Department and Medical Malpractice Group of Lamson, Dugan and Murray. Ms. Macdissi graduated from Creighton School of Law, cum laude, and received various awards serving on Creighton’s arbitration and trial teams. Upon graduating law school, she received the David A. Svoboda Trial Advocacy Award, an award given to the top litigation student in the law school class. She attributes her interest in the medical profession in large part to her husband, who practices as a hospitalist in Omaha, Nebraska.
